Samsung filed new patent claims in a German court this morning against Apple. The reports coming out of Germany are vague right now but the AFP is reporting that:
Samsung said the claims, filed on December 16 with the Mannheim regional court, relate to alleged infringement of patents including those for Samsung’s telecommunications standard technology and user interface.
Apple had won a round in German courts earlier this year which resulted in an injunction against Samsung. The injunction in turn resulted in Samsung being forced to take their new Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 off display at the IFA conference in Messe Berlin in September.
An Australian court recently overturned an injunction against Samsung which allowed them to start selling Galaxy Tab 10.1’s down under. Samsung also was victorious against an Apple imposed injunction in the United States.
As most of us are aware, Apple and Samsung are in a bitter patent war across the globe.
