Official: Galaxy Nexus Arrives In North America Today!

As previously reported the Samsung Galaxy Nexus arrived on time and in all of it’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich glory today on Bell Canada. Hopefully you haven’t forgotten your basic geography, realizing that North America also includes Canada.

The Canadians on Bell Canada get the HSPA+ version that was released overseas so it’s not like Samsung was able to throw a fast one past Verizon with the 4G LTE version. The Canadian version is $649 unlocked and without contract while the unlocked version for Verizon is reportedly going to cost $799.¬† As Androidcommunity suggests, if you live close to Canada you should be able to cross the border and buy an unlocked Galaxy Nexus for T-Mobile and AT&T.

Verizon Wireless hasn’t suggested any date yet on the release of the 4G LTE Galaxy Nexus, other than by the end of the year. The latest rumored launch date was December 9th. That rumor began to fizzle yesterday.
