CyanogenMod Team Gives Progress Reports

For those of you that are long time Cyanogenmod users, you know how they feel about ETA’s, but what they have done now is released a progress report on their latest evolution of the world’s most popular ROM.

CyanogenMod 9 is built on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. If you’re rooted CM9 will give a lot of phones their only chance at Ice Cream Sandwich and other who use CM9 will have ICS long before it officially hits their device over the air.

Phonearena is reporting that Team Douche has said that the original Motorola Droid won’t support CM9. The device is now two years old and most original Droid owners who use Cyanogenmod are probably due for an upgrade.

Team Douche also advises that devices with TI OMAP, Qualcomm MSM8660/7X30 and Samsung Exynos CPU’s will see CM9 before others. It’s also been reported that Tegra 2 devices including the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Asus Transformer will have CM9 earlier on.
