If you believe what most of the interwebs tells you than the Kindle Fire is the best tablet to date running on Android. It became the the best selling item on amazon.com when it was still in pre-release, and it also beat the iPad as the best selling tablet on bestbuy.com.
Now though, the moment of truth. A developer who goes by the handle G1011999 has ported Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich to the Kindle Fire and they’ve gotten it to boot up. It seems a bit laggy and according to the developer and phandroid.com, only the touchscreen works but if you are familiar with how fast these developers work, we’re confident we’ll see a full Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for the Kindle Fire shortly.
