Samsung Wins Appeal In Australia

Samsung has won an appeal in Australia and can now sell their Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australian stores. A three judge appeal panel in Australian court approved the appeal which was handed down by Federal Court Justice Lindsay Foster.

The appeal goes back to an October 13th decision by Judge Anabelle Bennett who originally granted an Apple injunction against Samsung. Apple contends that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 infringes on two of their patents pertaining to the iPad 2. Both patents involve touch screen.

Samsung will now be able to sell the Galaxy Tab 10.1 at Australian retailers at least until Apple and Samsung’s trial which is set for March.
