Samsung Galaxy Nexus Officially Pushed Back To December

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus release date being “pushed back” to December 8th has been the Galaxy Nexus rumor of the moment. That’s now been confirmed to Business Insider by Samsung. Samsung didn’t say what day in December or pricing information, just confirmation that it would be in December.

Verizon Wireless was mum on any release date for the Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, flagship device.¬† Many speculate that this was because they knew the device wouldn’t make it out before Black Friday weekend and they need all the steam they can get for the devices available on the biggest shopping day of the year.

It’s also a good time to mention that what’s happening here is exactly what happened with the HTC Thunderbolt, also on Verizon Wireless. No one has said anything about a clear release date officially. Basically neither Verizon Wireless, Samsung or Google is late with the release date because no release date has ever been stated.
