Hands On: Motorola Droid Razr

We got our hands on a Motorola Droid Razr for this quick little review video. As you know by now the Motorola Droid Razr is the most internally hyped Droid device since the original Droid released two years ago around the same exact time.

What’s significant about this phone is that Motorola believes in it enough to put the branding of their best selling phone in history (the original Motorola Razr 130 million units in sales) behind this device. It is coming out first on Verizon as the Droid Razr, but expect to see this beast on multiple carriers. Verizon customers can pick it up on Friday 11-11-11 at 11:11 am

More after the break
The Droid Razr features a 4.3 inch superAMOLED screen housed in Gorilla Glass by Corning. The back has a kevlar coding, not making it bullet proof but pretty rugged for a smartphone of it’s size. The Droid Razr rocks a 1.2ghz TI OMAP dual core processor which makes it zippy and fast.

The Droid Razr also takes advantage of Motorola’s newest selection of webtop accessories like a new HD dock with remote control (check out video here) and the lapdock keyboard accessory.

Did we mention in the speed department it’s also on Verizon’s 4G LTE network so you can see speeds up to 20 mbps down (in some locations). The Droid Razr packs this all into a frame that is just a tad over a quarter inch thick.

For those wondering about MotoBlur. It seems Motorola has dropped the name Blur from it’s higher end devices but the elements are still right there in the OS. They are fully customizable though so you can use as much or as little as you want.

You can pick this baby up for $299 on a new two year agreement, Friday at Verizon Wireless stores.
