Fujitsu Takes “World’s Thinnest Smartphone” Away From Motorla Droid Razr

We usually reserve the verbage “wow that was quick” to tell the story about how quick an Android device gets the root treatment. This time though, the “wow that was quick” verbage goes to Fujitsu.  Fujitsu has just submitted a device to the FCC called the “Fujitsu Arrows” which comes in a whole .015 inches thinner than the Motorola Droid Razr.

The Fujitsu Arrows is running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has a 4 inch display with a 480×854 resolution display. The display has a layer of Gorilla Glass protecting it, as does the Motorola Droid Razr.

The Motorola Droid Razr is significantly faster than the Fujitsu Arrows. The Fujitsu device has a 1.4ghz single core Qualcomm SnapDragon processor with only 512mb of RAM. There is also 1gb of on board storage and a microSD slot where the Droid Razr has 32gb of storage.

So far the Fujitsu device will only see a release in Japan via NTT DoCoMo, hopefully they’ll expand to the United States, with this device.
