Eventbrite Easy Entry App Enters The Android Market

Eventbrite, the do it yourself purveyors of events yielding over 42 million in ticket sales thus far has ported their Easy Entry app into the Android app.

If you’ve been to a rock concert or other ticketed event in the last few years you may have noticed the ticket agents at the gates have expensive looking scanner machines to make sure that each ticket is used only once and that you weren’t hoodwinked by the scalper in the 1977 Datsun station wagon.

Well Eventbrite has similar technology for event organizers using their event ticketing and planning services and as long as you have a smartphone, that technology is free.

More after the break
With Easy Entry your Android phone functions as that ticket takers expensive scanner. ¬†Multiple staffers can work the door at your event, like the Android Homecoming for instance, and you don’t have to worry about the same ticket being used twice because the app supports multiple devices using the same database off multiple servers.

Easy Entry features include:

– Look up and check in attendees off a list
– Easily scan ticket barcodes to check in attendees
– Check in attendees using multiple devices at the same time
– View live sales and attendance stats
– Analyze your attendance data online after the event

Eventbrite makes it easy for anyone to organize an event. They take a very modest percentage of ticket sales in exchange for event organizers to use their state of the art turnkey cloud based solutions. Eventbrite provides all the tools for head count, entry and analytics that you’d expect to pay big money for.
