AT&T Adds 6 More Markets To 4G/LTE Network

AT&T released the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 4G/LTE on Sunday. With that, they also lit up 6 more 4G/LTE markets bringing their grand total to 15 for 2011.

AT&T planned to light up 15 4G/LTE markets in 2011 so this could be it although we are still pretty sure Austin Texas will get the 4G LTEs before the years out.

The cities AT&T added today are: Las Vegas, Oklahoma City, Kansas, Charlotte, Indianapolis and San Juan Puerto Rico.¬† Indianapolis was originally on their list for two weeks ago when they released the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket and HTC Vivid, but wasn’t totally ready until today.

AT&T’s rival Verizon Wireless actually crushed their 2011 goal for 4G/LTE rollout. They currently offer 4G/LTE service in over 180 markets nationwide and still have one more big day of rollouts before the end of the year.
