Asus Tranfsormer Prime Goes Through The FCC

The first Android tablet with Nvidia’s quad core Tegra 3 processor has been spotted at the FCC’s test center in Columbia Maryland.

The Tegra 3 processor is going to bring not 4 but 5 core processing to the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime. There are also rumblings that it may release with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, or possibly get an upgrade to it rather quickly.

Asus Chairman Jonney Shih brought the new Asus tablet on stage with him at AllthingsD’s Asia conference in October. During the interview with Walt Mossberg he talked about the speeds forthcoming from the Tegra 3 processor and eluded to the fact that we may see Ice Cream Sandwich on board.

Asus is planning a launch event for November 9th, that’s when the world will find out what’s packed in that Transformer prime aside from the Tegra 3 processor, a mini HDMI port and a 14.5 hour battery.
