Have you been wondering what to do with that old StarTac, Razr or Samsung Blackjack that’s just collecting dust in a junk drawer? Does it still power on and physically work? Well then target has a deal for you.
Target is now accepting any working cell phone for a $50 trade in credit towards the purchase of the new HTC Rhyme on Verizon Wireless and available exclusively through Target stores. The $50 credit will make the HTC Rhyme and it’s cool accessories that are in the package, just $149.99 on a new two year agreement.
More after the break
The HTC Rhyme featurs a 3.7 inch WVGA screen. It’s powered by a single core 1ghz processor, Android 2.3.4 and HTC’s Sense version 3.5. It also features a 5 mega pixel rear facing camera. The battery that comes with it is 1600mah.
The HTC Rhyme was originally rumored as the HTC Bliss and targeted towards women. The device, which comes in a mauve color, features fitness apps, and shopping apps. In the package you get a charging dock as well as a charm indicator designed to attach to a purse so that the user can see the phone ringing or notifications.
HTC put their Android enthusiast blinders on this time and made an Android device that is very obviously targeted towards the consumer.
At $149.99 plus an old phone this may be worth taking a look at, at your neighborhood Target.
