T-Mobile Springboard Passes Through The FCC

We saw the T-Mobile Springboard in action last week at CTIA and even had the chance to do a walk through video. It seems now that the Springboard is passing through the FCC now as the Huawei Media Pad.

It’s unclear what, if any, other carriers will have the Huawei Media Pad or if it’s a T-Mobile exclusive in the United States. It’s a 7″ tablet sporting a 1.2ghz dual core processor. It features a 1280x 800 pixel IPS display.

More after the break
Although it seems to come in an 8gb version the T-Mobile Springboard has 16gb of internal memory. It has a front facing camera and a rear facing 5 megapixel camera with 720p HD recoding capability.

The FCC filing includes the quickstart guide. The filing also has several pictures of the Huawei MediaPad inner workings.  The listing is unclear as to whether we are looking at a wifi only version, a 3G version or the 4G (HSPA+) version that is headed to T-Mobile.

T-Mobile and Huawei have said the Springboard will be available before the holidays. As for pricing Huawei told us it would be “ultra affordable”, when we challenged them on that because we heard earlier in the day that it would be $199 on a new two year agreement, they didn’t balk.
