Official: Samsung Unpacked Moved To Hong Kong All Things D Event, ICS Shows Up On Campus

Samsung and Google have announced that their event has been rescheduled for next week as part of the AllthingsD event in Hong Kong next week.

You may remember back to AllthingsD’s mobile event when Google’s Andy Rubin was in the hot seat with AllthingsD Editors Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg.  It was there that Rubin showed off the then unannounced Motorola Xoom and Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

So we can probably count on Rub in showing off both a new device and the version of Android that is expected to merge Honeycomb and Gingerbread.

To mark this occasion our good friend Giovanni of Themendous has completed his Android Ice Cream Sandwich statue for the front lawn of Google’s building 44.

The life size Ice Cream Sandwich statue joins the Honeycomb, Gingerbread, Eclair, Donut, Cupcake and Nexus One statues in the lawn at Google’s dedicated Android building.
