HTC’s Budget “Explorer” Android Device Set For UK Release

Do you remember the HTC Pico that we reported on over the summer? It’s a budget conscious Android device designed by HTC. The device has been renamed as the “HTC Explorer” and it’s sporting the latest in midrange specs.

The HTC Explorer has a 600mhz processor, 512mb of RAM, and a 3.2 inch HVGA capacitive touch screen. It will be running the latest version of Android 2.3.5 and the latest version of HTC’s proprietary UI, Sense 3.5.

One of the unique things about the HTC Explorer is that it will come in a variety of colors with three base models and interchangeable back panels.  UK retailer Clove is reporting that this phone will show up on Halloween. Trick or Treat?
