HTC Rezound Goes Through FCC Again For Induction Charging Approval

With the Motorola Droid Razr and Samsung Galaxy Nexus officially announced by Verizon Wireless, the next device we are waiting for is the HTC Rezound.

The HTC Rezound, which was once known as the Vigor, is said to be taking the place of the HTC Thunderbolt. It features Android 2.3.4, and HTC Sense 3.5 on a 1280×720 resolution display. All of this is powered by a 1.5ghz dual core processor. There’s an 8 mega pixel camera with dual LED flash on the back and a front facing camera to take pictures of your lovely mug or video chat it up with your pals over wifi, 3G and Verizon’s 4G/LTE network.

Now it appears the Rezound will also feature a charging back plate to use an induction charger which is all the rage these days. There’s no definitive answer as to whether this phone will have Beats By Dre audio or SRS labs. If it does in fact have Beats By Dre, we may see it next week at an HTC event in New York City.
