CTIA 2011: We Talk With Mocana

Mocana is an internet and mobile security company. Although their portfolio of services ranges from VPN clients to government contracts, to DDoS attacks to mobile, here at CTIA Enterprise & Applications they are showing off three products that make Android more secure for enterprise.

There is a growing trend in wireless for employees to use their personal smart phones at work. This makes it easier for the employee to not have to carry, charge and figure out how two different devices work and it’s naturally good for the business because they don’t have to shell out thousands of dollars or even hundreds of thousands of dollars to outfit their employees with smart phones.

More after the break
Mocana puts enterprise level security onto Android devices. The most exciting way is in the businesses own app. Mocana can add a layer of security to the phone at the app level then if the employee leaves the company they can easily strip away the credentials rendering the app useless.

This eliminates the need to wipe sensitive personal data out of an employee (or former employees) Android phone.
