App Spotlight: IMDb Movies & TV

Everyone loves a good movie. After a long day at work, sometimes heading to the cinema to catch the latest flick or staying home to watch a DVD is just what the doctor ordered. However, making a decision as to which movie to watch is difficult especially when away from the computer. Thankfully there are apps out there that can help with these decisions, one of the best being IMDb.

IMDb is a database for everything one would need to know about movies, past and present. If the user wants to get out of the house and see what’s new in the box office IMDb can help with that. It offers assistance locating local movie times and reviews from critics and movie-goers alike. It can also give a hand if a rental is what’s in store. Surf through a comprehensive database of older movies, reading reviews and even see if  film won an award. If nothing fits the bill the user can look ahead to see what movies are coming and plan for another time.

Maybe a movie is too long, and there are other plans being made and there just isn’t enough time in the day to watch a full-length feature. IMDb also offers services directed towards the TV viewer providing TV listings for the local area and recaps from the previous airing.

IMDb is a good app that offers quite a bit of information to the viewer. So if people are looking for a movie or TV app that provides such a service, they should give IMDb a shot.
