US Cellular Grabs Up 3 HTC Android Devices

US Cellular isn’t being the least bit shy about their aggressive Android strategy. It shows this week as they’ve announced the addition of 3 new HTC devices to their Android portfolio.

The HTC Hero S, Wildfire S and HTC Flyer are all headed to US Cellular. According to a US Cellular press release all three devices will start to arrive in US Cellular stores next month (October).

More after the break
The HTC Hero S has been widely referred to as the HTC Kingdom. It runs on Android 2.3 “Gingerbread” and has HTC’s latest version of their custom UI, HTC Sense, on top. The Hero S features a 4inch Super LCD touchscreen with qHD resolution. It has a 5 megapixel rear facing camera with autofocus and LED flash and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera for video chatting on the go via 3G or wifi.  The Hero S will set you back just $199 after $100 mail in rebate.

The Wildfire S headed to US Cellular will come in two flavors; purple and white.  It’s the follow up to HTC’s widely successful Wildfire which never appeared on any of the four major US carriers. It’s also carrying Android 2.3 and HTC Sense. It has a 3.2″ display and a 5 megapixel camera. The Wildfire S is just $79.99 after $100 mail in rebate.

Finally the HTC Flyer 7″ Android tablet is headed US Cellular’s way as  well. This 7″ tablet features the new HTC Sense for tablets which was rebuilt from the ground up. It’s running on a 1.5ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and has 32gb of onboard memory. It also features HTC Scribe technology, a digital pen with certain applications built to incorporate the Scribe.  The Scribe allows you to mark through web pages, take hand written notes, create masterpieces in their doodle program and more. The HTC Flyer is $399 after $100 mail in rebate.

“We’re excited to give our customers even more choices by offering these cutting-edge devices,” said Edward Perez, vice president of sales and marketing operations for U.S. Cellular. “Our associates’ commitment to helping each customer find the right device to organize and simplify their life is one of the reasons we have the happiest customers in wireless.”

Looks like a big October for our friends at US Cellular.
