Samsung And Cricket Announce The Samsung Vitality Android Phone With Muve Music

Earlier today we reported that Cricket cancelled plans to release the Viewsonic Viewpad 7 and instead was focusing on their Muve Music and Smartphones. Well today’s phone announcement encompasses both.

The Samsung Vitality is officially announced now as the first Android phone on Cricket’s network to support Cricket’s unlimited Muve Music service. The service allows customers on the Muve Music plan to download as many songs as they’d like on their Muve Music enabled phone.

The phone itself sports an 800mhz processor, 3.5″ screen, 3.2 megapixel rear facing camera and a 4gb microSD card of which 3gb is reserved for your songs. The Samsung Vitality is also the first Cricket Android to come out with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread.  $65 a month will get you unlimited voice, text, data and Muve Music.  The phone will cost you around $200 off-contract.
