LG Esteem, Watered Down LG Revolution Headed For 4G/LTE On MetroPCS

Back in July we brought you this story about the LG Revolution headed to MetroPCS as the LG Bryce. Well now LG is bringing out the LG Esteem, and while it’s not quite the LG Revolution, it looks like its going to be a mid to high range Android device for MetroPCS’s 4G/LTE network.

Today, a tipster sent Androidcentral screenshots detailing the LG Esteem so we are going to assume that these are good credible specs.

4.3 inch LCD Display   (rumored in July 4.3″ WVGA)
1ghz single core Qualcomm SnapDragon Processor (same as rumor)
5mp rear facing camera and 1.3mp front facing camera (July rumor didn’t say 1.3mp but did say front facing camera)
4gb of internal storage.

More after the break

So far, aside from the name which could have been a code name anyway, the specs look almost identical to those reported back on July 11th.  They are a little lower than the actual LG Revolution but a far cry from entry level, and with 4G/LTE to boot.

We should see this device in MetroPCS stores in mid October. The price should be $349 on a new two year agreement with $100 mail in rebate.

  1. They absolutely don’t deal with contracts, the writer made an error. Also there is no difference between the specs of the esteem and revolution respectively; they really are the same phone.

  2. going to have 8GB internal memory.  And it has 2.3 Gingerbread, so it’s a “newer” version of the LG Revolution, not a “weaker” version.  🙂
