Huawei Impulse 4G Hits AT&T, Now An Affordable 4G Android Is On Every Carrier

AT&T has announced the availability of the Huawei Impulse 4G.  It ranks among the Samsung Exhibit 4G (T-Mobile), Samsung Conquer 4G (Sprint), and the upcoming Pantech BreakOut 4G (Verizon) as an affordable 4G Android handset.

The Huwaei Impulse 4G will be available on AT&T starting September 18th for $29.99 on a new two year agreement. This is an HSPA+ device and not a 4G/LTE device.

The Huawei Impulse is a little light in the spec department but the key here is affordable “4G” device.  It will release with Android 2.2 Froyo with an expected upgrade to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It has a 3.8 inch WVGA display, 5 mega pixel camera and and 800mhz processor. Of course for $29.99 these are decent specs.

Looking to break into Android on the cheap on AT&T? Line up September 18th for this phone.
