Today our own Cameron Wright was at the launch of HTC’s newest device, the HTC Rhyme. The device is geared towards women, so the purple exterior and “charm” accessory come on board with this device, giving it a more feminine edge. The device is packing a 3.7 inch screen, with a 5.0 rear camera and a VGA front facing camera. This phone is running Android 2.3, with HTC Sense over top.
The phone is headed to Verizon, but Target will be the exclusive carrier. The HTC Rhyme may be purchased through Target starting September 29, and preorders begin September 21-26. Target is also allowing customers to trade in different gadgets they own towards the HTC Rhyme, through Target’s electronic trading service. The phone also comes with tangle-free headphones, and a docking station that actually comes with the device. Obviously, HTC is starting to put a larger emphasis on media, especially music, after their partnership with Beats audio. The iHeartRadio Music Festival will also give everyone a chance to get a few minutes with the device, as Target Mobile will be attending with the HTC Rhyme tagging along. HTC and Target will launch the device on September 29, so if this device is for you stop by your local Target to pick one up.
