Breaking: Move over Prime – the Nexus is coming

There once was a rumor called Prime, we thought she was a Nexus but she had Wiz all over. The Nexus was still lost, and all we had was a Galaxy.

You want an *accurate* poem there you go…

Our writer was at an unsaid conference and while there he sat down and started talking to a Verizon Tester. You know the ones who get phones between 6-12 months early. Yea those guys. Well anyways, he has been playing with two phones…the Vigor and a Prime. Yes all you people drool over it, he was playing with a Prime, and for those who think Google wouldn’t have them playing with it first, these are the same people who told Apple F-off at first, even though they were already testing it on the network of Big Red.

But anyways, he mentioned to me that the Vigor was a better phone and my jaw dropped, thats when we asked, were either phones STOCK ANDROID and he calmly and patiently said… Get this… Here all you other Android gossip sites are going to claim this story wrong… NEITHER PHONE WAS STOCK ANDROID.  WHAAAAT. Yes, The Prime you all are gushing over is in fact another Samsung device (most likely the Droid Charge 2) that they are still testing.  (Notice that link ties to a “questionable story” – yet actually begins to be more plausible now)

At the same conference our writer was able to spend time with the UPCOMING NEXUS.  Now, we ran this story that day.  What we missed, because our writer was at this conference, Kyle was home, and I was in New York, two out of three of us were running around like chickens with our heads cut off: was that they are TWO DIFFERENT DEVICES.  Kyle got some of the details confused in his piece though –

It also has NFC, MHL and HDMI. MHL and HDMI are one port.  There is one single “home” like button on the bottom similar to the Galaxy Note.  Wherever this came from, I don’t know (our writer did not state that – somehow Kyle got confused. It alsoONLY has a power button and (there is a) volume rocker on the sides.

Now, what about the C&D from Samsung legal department – the one that posted?  That said Nexus Prime in it.  Who would be sending out the C&D for the NEXUS  – certainly not Samsung, it would be Google.  The letter I bring up is in fact real as confirmed by Russell Holly, who has the original envelope.  The question is why would Samsung be using the Nexus Prime name – REDIRECTION.  Not a SINGLE STATEMENT HAS BEEN MADE regarding Nexus and Prime being two different devices.  Nexus Prime, picked by YOU FANS, made up by somebody/somewhere.  This makes it the Prime a Samsung device while the Nexus is still a Google device.

Last night a twitter poem – largely credited to @Black_Man_X (the Panda) was tweeted out by @tflemming223

While things that go bump in the night, surely give you a fright,
It’s all in good fun as I share treats and panda fun.

So Instead of filling your belly with candies, jellies and other hollows eve fare,
Perhaps your palate will cast a ballot, for an ice cream sandwich instead.

With an internal date now set and LTE a sure bet,
Those that get Tim Cook’s new pet will be filled with green eyed regret.

But wait you cry for what date can you buy?
This the panda did shall share…

Fore on the date Bruce Wayne’s true father did die;
you shall in fact be able to buy in stores of red and black.

But those who pay other masters don’t fret,
over exclusive deals and bets

For in many other favors you will get your treat
be they GSM or wimax radios inside, the nexus brand will ride world wide

Notice not a single mention or even hint of the Droid Prime, Nexus, Prime, or any mixture of those words found  above.  So we here at TheDroidGuy are the first to tell you, we have seen the next Nexus and it is not the Prime.

now, try to prove us wrong….please
