Breaking: Move over Prime – the Nexus is coming

There once was a rumor called Prime, we thought she was a Nexus but she had Wiz all over. The Nexus was still lost, and all we had was a Galaxy.

You want an *accurate* poem there you go…

Our writer was at an unsaid conference and while there he sat down and started talking to a Verizon Tester. You know the ones who get phones between 6-12 months early. Yea those guys. Well anyways, he has been playing with two phones…the Vigor and a Prime. Yes all you people drool over it, he was playing with a Prime, and for those who think Google wouldn’t have them playing with it first, these are the same people who told Apple F-off at first, even though they were already testing it on the network of Big Red.

But anyways, he mentioned to me that the Vigor was a better phone and my jaw dropped, thats when we asked, were either phones STOCK ANDROID and he calmly and patiently said… Get this… Here all you other Android gossip sites are going to claim this story wrong… NEITHER PHONE WAS STOCK ANDROID.  WHAAAAT. Yes, The Prime you all are gushing over is in fact another Samsung device (most likely the Droid Charge 2) that they are still testing.  (Notice that link ties to a “questionable story” – yet actually begins to be more plausible now)

At the same conference our writer was able to spend time with the UPCOMING NEXUS.  Now, we ran this story that day.  What we missed, because our writer was at this conference, Kyle was home, and I was in New York, two out of three of us were running around like chickens with our heads cut off: was that they are TWO DIFFERENT DEVICES.  Kyle got some of the details confused in his piece though –

It also has NFC, MHL and HDMI. MHL and HDMI are one port.  There is one single “home” like button on the bottom similar to the Galaxy Note.  Wherever this came from, I don’t know (our writer did not state that – somehow Kyle got confused. It alsoONLY has a power button and (there is a) volume rocker on the sides.

Now, what about the C&D from Samsung legal department – the one that posted?  That said Nexus Prime in it.  Who would be sending out the C&D for the NEXUS  – certainly not Samsung, it would be Google.  The letter I bring up is in fact real as confirmed by Russell Holly, who has the original envelope.  The question is why would Samsung be using the Nexus Prime name – REDIRECTION.  Not a SINGLE STATEMENT HAS BEEN MADE regarding Nexus and Prime being two different devices.  Nexus Prime, picked by YOU FANS, made up by somebody/somewhere.  This makes it the Prime a Samsung device while the Nexus is still a Google device.

Last night a twitter poem – largely credited to @Black_Man_X (the Panda) was tweeted out by @tflemming223

While things that go bump in the night, surely give you a fright,
It’s all in good fun as I share treats and panda fun.

So Instead of filling your belly with candies, jellies and other hollows eve fare,
Perhaps your palate will cast a ballot, for an ice cream sandwich instead.

With an internal date now set and LTE a sure bet,
Those that get Tim Cook’s new pet will be filled with green eyed regret.

But wait you cry for what date can you buy?
This the panda did shall share…

Fore on the date Bruce Wayne’s true father did die;
you shall in fact be able to buy in stores of red and black.

But those who pay other masters don’t fret,
over exclusive deals and bets

For in many other favors you will get your treat
be they GSM or wimax radios inside, the nexus brand will ride world wide

Notice not a single mention or even hint of the Droid Prime, Nexus, Prime, or any mixture of those words found  above.  So we here at TheDroidGuy are the first to tell you, we have seen the next Nexus and it is not the Prime.

now, try to prove us wrong….please

  1. A little trigger shy ehhh… Didn’t even wait for the rest of the poem. Dude… nevermind. You’re doing it to yourself.

  2. So let me get this straight.  You’ve got to articles, on the same subject.  One has the headline “Exclusive: “Prime” is Nexus Phone Headed to All Carriers”.

The second article, without any new developments, has a huge blurb saying “Nexus is NOT Prime”.

Talk about taking a huge dump on all of us, kid.

And then you have the freaking gall to be so aggressive and childish (in your second article) towards those who called you out as an idiot?

You pretty much did it to yourself.  Next time, (not that you’ll ever get your credibility back), take your time, take a deep breath, and look over your story before you post.  I know you’re not a journalist or a reporter, but that’s what they teach at reporting school.  Maybe you should take a course.

  3. Ok, the sintaxis and semantics of the whole article are a total mess.

    I didn’t understand anything.

Even further, was there anything to understand in the first place?

  4. Actually posts made by Thedroidguy are by-lined “thedroidguy” this one is by-lined Cameron Wright. Cameron Wright is the author of the post not Thedroidguy

  5. You know you’re bad when some dude on 4chan writes more clearly and coherently. Seriously, guys, this article is so riddled with errors I had to read it several times to understand what you were saying.

  6. I’m just replying in the same general mood that DroidGuy posted.  He acts like a child.  And how do you know I’m an adult?  I could be a high school freshman on my study period for all you know, douche!

  7. wow, the second people hear something they don’t want to hear that could be the truth, they revert into screaming infants and explode into a temper tantrum fit. Ahahahaa   Well, just how they were raised I suppose.  And these people are supposed to be “Adults”??  riiiiiggghhht lol

  8. No one has to try and prove you wrong.. you have to prove you are right.  Secondly,  stop writing like a 17 year old and try and be more professional.  I would consider your post more seriously if I didn’t have to read it in the voice of some kid.

  9. You’re so full of BS, this article sounds like someone trolling.

READ THE DAMN POEM AGAIN, dumb a$$.  It’s says both DROID and PRIME in the last stanza.  Couldn’t wait to post your stupid story, now you’re guilty of premature ejaculation.

So let us get this straight.  Your guy, who was at the Conference, saw two phones and mixed it up by saying the Prime had a button on the front?

Your stupidity and hurried cover-up are unfathomable.  Nice to see you tried to wait til after the whole poem was out before you “clarified”.  Except you didn’t wait long enough.

I hate you, Droidguy.  Please go crawl back under the rock you came out from, you damn worm!

  10. All we know that is important from this poem is some kind of nexus is coming out on november 3rd Nexus is a google brand name no one can take it away so whether you think “oo theres two different devices or oo the nexus prime and the droid prime don’t have ice cream sandwich!” We know for sure this poem is describing a Nexus device coming to verizon on november 3rd and world wide gsm and wimax so that includes the other cellphone companies later.

  11. it’s very possible and completely probable, no matter your personal preference.  They will be two completely separate and distinct devices.

  12. Is it not possible, the prime and nexus being two different devices, is due to vzw releasing “droid prime” and the other carriers having “nexus prime”.  Which would be why it was said the prime isnt the nexus, because technically it is but it isn’t (in name).

  13. I think AndroidGuys are right.

There will be two distinct devices:

The Droid Prime (Droid Charge 2) (SCH-i515) <— this will come out first with ICS?
Samsung Nexus Prime (will be available on all carriers) (GT-i9250)

made google docs specs sheet. plz help out:

  14. Makes a lot of sense, even without concrete proof(which we don’t have for ANY of the rumors out there at this point).  So its all completely Plausible.
