Verizon Lighting Up 20 More Markets In Middle Of US & Out West With 4G/LTE September 15th

Last Thursday Verizon Wireless finished lighting up over half of the United States with their 4G/LTE service, and it seems that nothing can stop them.  While AT&T is still preparing it’s 5 market 4G/LTE launch and Sprint is stagnating while they decide to do with Clearwire, only Verizon Wireless, and T-Mobile are making headway as far as 4G is concerned. Of course, Verizon will also tout that they have “real” 4G.

Here are the cities getting 4G/LTE service on September 15th:

  • Rockford, IL
  • Mansfield, OH
  • Moline, IL
  • Rock Island, IL
  • Davenport, IA
  • Bettendorf, IA
  • Springfield, IL
  • Bloomington/Normal, IL
  • Champaign/Urbana, IL
  • Canton, OH
  • Canton-Akron Airport, OH
  • Cleveland, OH
  • Lima, OH
  • Fargo, ND
  • Moorhead, MN
  • San Luis Obispo,CA
  • Santa Barbara, CA
  • Reno, NV
  • El Paso, TX from the Texas state border north to the Loop 375 Border Highway and east to Joe Battle Boulevard
  • Las Cruces Proper, NM

As we get closer to the 15th of September it’s entirely possible that Verizon will add more cities to this announcement.
