Samsung treated a group of press to a preview of the upcoming TouchWiz upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. This upgrade, due August 5th, brings a rebuilt version of TouchWiz designed specifically for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Android 3.x Honeycomb.
Some of the features of the TouchWiz upgrade include many of Samsung’s proprietary “Hubs” like Media hub. It also includes “mini apps”. The mini apps can run on top of the current open and running app and include: Task Manager, World Clock, Pen Memo, Calendar, Calculator and Music. These six apps can be run right on top of the apps currently running in Honeycomb. Think Dashboard on mac OSX computer (but don’t tell Steve Jobs).
