Sprint’s Motorola Photon 4G Slides Through The FCC

Sprint’s highly anticipated Motorola Photon 4G has passed through the FCC with flying colors.  Until recently Motorola and Sprint didn’t have any top tier Android devices.

Sprint and Motorola released the XPRT, built around the design for the Motorola Droid Pro on Verizon. The XPRT is a great Android device for business customers that still make up nearly 50% of Sprint’s business.  At a press event in New York City last month Sprint announced the Motorola Photon 4G which is built on the design of the Motorola Atrix 4G on AT&T.  Like it’s AT&T counterpart the Photon 4G features “Webtop” accessories which easily dock the Photon 4G into the accessory for an enhanced experience.

Pocketnow reported that the Motorola Photon 4G crossed the desks of the FCC Approval center in Columbia MD yesterday which could mean we might see the Photon 4G before the month is out.
