Motorola Photon 4G Hits Sprint Shelves July 31st For Just $199

Motorola announced today that the Motorola Photon 4G will be available from Sprint beginning July 31st for just $199 on a new two year agreement. The Photon 4G is Motorola’s flagship Android device on the Sprint network.

Modeled after the Motorola Atrix 4G the Photon 4G brings with it to Sprint, new deeper enterprise integration and security, international capabilities, and a WiMax radio to operate on Sprint’s 4G network. It’s backed by the power of an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor and Android 2.3, Gingerbread.

Other specs include:
4.3 inch touch-screen with qHD display
8 megapixel rear facing camera, and a front facing webcam
16gb of onboard memory with a microSD slot for up to 32gb
Worldphone capability
3G 4G Hotspot

Similar to the Motorola Atrix, the Motorola Photon 4G will support a host of webtop accessories.  Sprint will offer the HD Station dock, Full size wireless keyboard, Vehicle navigation dock and a battery only charger and bundle all sold separately from the device.  It’s interesting to point out though, that Sprint makes no mention of the LapDock keyboard, which was one of the main selling points for the Atrix when Motorola announced it at CES in January.

Starting Monday, those who want more info about the Motorola Photon 4G can head here and also be entered to win a Motorola Photon 4G or ticket to a LiveNation concert of your choice.
