Kyocera Echo To Receive Gingerbread On August 1

Do you remember that dual screen Android phone Kyocera and Sprint released earlier this year. Yes, the Kyocera Echo.

The Kyocera Echo is probably the most unique Android device to be released to date.  The Echo features two screens that click together to form one 4″ screen.  This phoneblet actually fits the needs of people who want both but only want to carry one device.

If you are one of these Kyocera Echo users, or are thinking about picking one up, Android Police have revealed today that the Kyocera Echo is getting updated to Android 2.3 Gingerbread on August 1, 2011. The update will begin on August 1, 2011 and should take four days to implement to all of the Kyocera Echo owners.

Kyocera owners should begin checking settings>about phone>updates beginning August 1 and follow the instructions provided.
