HTC Evo 4G Update Needs Another Update

Sprint and HTC released an update in June that fixed the damage from a previous update that was affecting Netflix compatibility with the Evo 4G.  Now users are reporting more problems stemming from that update.

The latest official update for the HTC Evo 4G has caused problems with Vlingo Virtual Assistant, Stock RSS widget, voice search, Google voice to text, app reloading issues, digital compass and Yahoo mail capability.

HTC also separately told Thedroidguy that they are looking into problems stemming from the recent Gingerbread update of the HTC Evo Shift 4G but haven’t given an expected fix date for either device.

HTC has really turned a corner with the Android community and seems to be taking a proactive approach to addressing user concerns. Hopefully these problems will be addressed with a quickness.
