During the summer months most people start looking to the fourth quarter of the year. That’s the quarter when retail based businesses traditionally start turning a profit. It’s also the quarter that’s fueled by holiday shopping.
Well, wait just a minute, before we get to the fourth quarter, it seems Sprint has some tricks up their sleeves for the third quarter. Chris Ziegler (this is why they call him Zpower) got a hold of the Sprint Q3 road map and it reveals some great Android goodness.
More after the break
First off we are expecting the Samsung Epic 2 which will most likely feature a 1.2ghz single core processor that’s currently fueling the Samsung Droid Charge on Verizon and the Samsung Infuse 4G on AT&T. We may see an upgrade in screen the size will stay the same at 4″.
Next up, also from Samsung, is a full touch screen 4G Android device. This must be the Samsung Galaxy SII, dubbed the “Samsung Within” for Sprint.
Finally in the Android world we can look for the Motorola Photon 4G which, no it doesn’t play laser tag, but will run on Sprint’s 4G network with an array of “webtop” accessories like the lapdock available at launch. The Photon 4G is built on the same foundation of the AT&T Motorola Atrix with a lot of enhancements for business.
The HTC Evo 3D launched today, which is technically Q2 still until the end of next week. HTC doesn’t seem to have a Q3 Sprint offering.
