Sony and Dropbox Come To A Deal

Many of you have more than likely you have heard of Dropbox and have used it at on point and time. If you haven’t then you really need to check it out. It looks as is the Dropbox and Sony Ericsson have come to a decision regarding a partnership between the two.

This partnership will make it so the cloud service will come pre-installed on several of Sony’s upcoming Android devices. These devices will come labeled as “Dropbox-powered phones” and will be sold throughout Denmark, Sweden, Australia, Italy, and the UK.

Starting at the beginning of this month, Sony Ericsson will start selling these devices in Japan through the company Softbank. Also, Softbank customers will have the ability to get 1GB of storage for free on top of the 2GB already provided.

The Xperia Play and Arc will be the first devices to see this new partnership. However, there is no word on whether the US versions of these devices will see the DropBox  anytime soon.

Hopefully, we here in the United States will get to see this service come pre-installed on devices. What are your thoughts on this partnership? Would you like having Dropbox pre-installed on your device? Let us know in the comments.
