The HTC Evo 3D is one of the most highly anticipated devices coming out this year. Since it’s release at CTIA in March we’ve been eagerly awaiting the official release date. Yesterday, Sprint sent out a press release talking about all the great entertainment and media that will be featured on the device.
This morning, Phandroid posted the above picture of a Radio Shack add. Radio Shack has been quietly allowing customers to pre-order the follow up to the HTC Evo 4G at it’s stores. In this add they show that the pre-orders will arrive on June 24th.
Like most high end Android devices, there have been a slew of expected and rumored release dates from June 4th, June 8th, July 10th and everything in between. Radio Shack has it clearly earmarked for June 24th.
In the past we’ve seen Best Buy ads with release dates that haven’t happened but we don’t seem to have anything disputing the Radio Shack date. As Phandroid reports June 23 is also the day that the promotion to trade in any phone for $125 credit ends. Also one of our Sprint ninja’s suggests that June 24th is the first date for the newest rebate cards.
The only other scenario which might change the release date is if Sprint/HTC decides to give Radio Shack a couple days of exclusivity or vice versa, we’ll see though.
