LG Optimus 3D Arrives In UK July 7th, US Announcement Expected Tomorrow In New York

According to British mobile technology site, Mobile Today, the LG Optimus 3D will be launching at Carphone Warehouse (a subsidiary of Best Buy Mobile) on July 7th. Carphone warehouse already has the Optimus 3D up for pre-order.

The Optimus 3D features a glassesless 4.3″ 3D screen, HDMI port, Android 2.2 (upgrading to 2.3), and a dual core Texas Instruments OMAP processor, as explained in the video below.

more after the break

We’ve had the Optimus 3D since May and it’s a fast phone. The 3D on games is good considering its a phone.  The 3D camera and video are fun but we don’t know a lot of people with 3D enabled TV’s.  This is LG’s second device to release with 3D. The T-Mobile G-Slate, or LG Optimus Pad, also sports a 3D stereoscopic camera.

UK Android fans should be excited for the July 7th launch. The LG Optimus 3D is expected to be free with a qualifying data plan.  Carphone Warehouse is the exclusive launch partner for the LG Optimus 3D.

US folks should know something more concrete tomorrow.  LG is holding a 3D event at CE Week NY and we’ll be there to report everything that comes out of it. We are expecting hands on with the US version of the Optimus 3D dubbed the LG Thrill on AT&T.
