Facebook updates app, leaves out tablets, hinting at something?

One of my Twitter followers, Zapote21, noticed something with the new Facebookz update that all the other sites missed. There is a glaring type of devices missing from this update, tablets. None of the current tablets in the market are compatible with the newest update.

Could this be Facebook hinting at an upcoming tablet centric application or were they just being mean and didn’t want you to use a Facebook app since it looks so horrible. Currently the only Facebook application we have for tablets is Friend Me, however it’s missing things like Facebook Chat and notification which is a major draw back and has forced me to use the web if I want to visit Facebook on my Xoom.

Facebook has in the past ignored the iPad, however recently it has leaked out that an iPad version is coming soon. Could this mean that an Android tablet one come out also at same time?

Currently the newest update to the Android phone version enables you to in upload videos. It also addrd “pages” as well as a better news feed improvements.

Facebook next move is on you… Will we see a tablet version soon, or stuck to third party applications…
