Angry Birds fans who play Angry Birds on their unrooted Barnes &  Noble Nook are going to love this.  Rovio Mobile and Barnes and Noble have teamed up to give people who play Angry Birds on B&N stores in store wifi on their Nook, a free unlockable “Mighty Eagle”.

Mighty Eagle is a character that lets you come in and obliterate a level that you’re having trouble with.  Until now the Mighty Eagle was exclusive to iOS devices in the United States.  iOS users can purchase the Mighty Eagle using in-app purchasing.

Rovio and Barnes and Noble have made it as easy as playing the game in the store.  Take note though, it needs to be played on the Barnes and Noble Nook and it needs to be the $3 Barnes & Noble Nook version.

As part of the promotion Barnes and Noble stores will also carry official Angry Birds toys, stuffed animals stickers and tattoos.  Angry Birds seems to be everywhere, we just saw pigs, birds and other stuffed characters at a Build a Bear workshop. You can purchase Angry Birds T-Shirts at Hot Topic and there are even street vendors in New York City selling beanie style hats.
