Wyse’s Pocketcloud Brings Top Ranked Remote Desktop Client To Your Honeycomb Device

Wyse has released version 1.2 of their remote desktop client, PocketCloud to the Android Market. The newest version of PocketCloud for Android has been rebuilt to take advantage of Android 3.0, Honeycombs, new user interface and enhanced tablet OS.  PocketCloud 1.2 is designed to take advantage of the larger real estate found on Android tablets.

Wyse has also retooled their discovery app and taken it out of beta and now whether you have a PC or Mac running the companion software, logging into your computer from your Android tablet is as easy as logging into a website.

“The goal at Wyse is to thrill our customers with features and usability that make a real impact on how they live and work”, said Daniel Barreto, GM of the Wyse Mobile Cloud Business Unit. “We listened carefully to their needs and created this version of PocketCloud, making it a great combination with Android 3.0 tablets that will have even more of them leaving their laptops behind.”

Pocketcloud has released version 1.2 in anticipation of the huge influx of Honeycomb laden tablets that are releasing over the next several months. Honeycomb is currently only available on the Motorola Xoom and we can’t wait to try PocketCloud on our Xoom.
