HBO GO Headed To Android And More

It looks like current HBO subscribers that have an Android device or iPhone device will be able to take advantage of HBO GO, which launched back in February of last year.

This service allows for over 1400 HBO shows and movies to be streamed over the internet, and will be available to both Comcast, Direct TV, and others. However, Time Warner does not seem likely to be apart of HBO GO at this moment even though Time Warner owns HBO.

We heard of this news via CNET who ran across a YouTube video uploaded by HBO Video.  However, we have not heard much regarding whether or not users will be able to stream over 3G, 4G, or Wi-Fi.

While Netflix still has yet to come out with an app for the Android Market (that is available on more than one device), HBO is taking great strides in letting their viewers be able to watch their favorite content on the go.

We look forward to hearing more regarding HBO GO, along with how exactly it will work. As soon as we hear more we will be sure to pass it right along.
