Hands On With HTC Droid Incredible 2

Well, there you have it folks. After months of speculation, and rumor after rumor, we finally have ourselves a Droid Incredible 2. The successor to the wildly popular Droid Incredible has arrived, well sort of, to us at least. The Droid Incredible 2 was announced earlier today by Verizon, and will be delivered to the masses on Thursday the 28th. Of course we have all been patiently waiting for this device, and after playing with it for a day, it is worth the wait.

The Dinc 2 stays true to the original Dinc’s form factor, with the favored raised back and sleek and sexy design. The device is a tad bit thicker and wider, but this is all because of the 4 inch display versus the 3.7 inch display of the first.

More after the break

The Droid Incredible 2 also offers up the same second-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 768 Mb of ram as the Thunderbolt. If I had to describe this phone in one sentence, it would be the Thunderbolt’s little brother. Not to say that it is less powerful, or less of a phone, it is just smaller. This phone and the Thunderbolt both run circles around the other phones on Verizon, but the one edge that the Thunderbolt has over the Droid Incredible 2 is 4G. 4G is absent from the lineup of features from the Droid Incredible 2, and this can be good and bad. For those of you who don’t live in or a near a 4G market, or just don’t like the battery issues it can cause on other devices *ahem Thunderbolt*. However, for those of you who can’t live without those blazing 4G speeds from Verizon, it could be a deal breaker.

Overall, the HTC Droid Incredible 2 is a fantastic phone. Sure, it doesn’t have a dual-core processor but it is still a very snappy device. Also, the rotating touch buttons at the bottom are pretty sweet (pics below). We have a hands-on video of the Dinc 2 below with TheDroidGuy himself, so be sure to check it out. Also, we have several pics of the device below for all of you nerds to salivate over. Stay tuned to for more HTC Droid Incredible 2, the latest HTC device on Verizon Wireless that is launching on April 28.
