The year of the tablet continued at the CTIA Mobile Life 11 show in Orlando Florida last week.
Although AT&T announced they had put in an offer to buy T-Mobile just before the start of CTIA, it was business as usual at T-Mobile and at their CTIA booth.
We caught up with our friend Alex with T-mobile and she gave us a quick demo of the upcoming G-Slate by LG that will be available later this spring at T-Mobile Stores. Alex made it a point to remind us that the T-Mobile G-Slate is “4G” compatible out of the box on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network “without an upgrade”
How does it stack up?
We’ve seen many tablets introduced at CES, MWC and now CTIA. The most worthy to note are of course the Motorola Xoom and Xoom wifi,, the Samsung Galaxy Tab in 8.9 and 10.1″ form factors and the HTC Evo View 4G along with many more.
The T-Mobile tablet sticks out because of it’s 8.9″ form factor and 3d capabilities. The stereoscopic camera on the back coupled with the Tegra 2 processor will make 3D processing faster and provide an overall more fluid experience.
T-Mobile has added T-Mobile TV, Need For Speed Shift HD (full version) and the Zinio e-reader.
