Samsung Galaxy S II Appears At FCC And Team Android #SXSW Party

Tonight at the Team Android party at South By Southwest, while we were demoing Glu Games on a yet to be released Sony Xperia Play there was another to be released handset on display.

The Samsung Galaxy S II, announced last month at MWC, was at the Samsung tablet at the Team Android event. It was the AT&T version. The Samsung Galaxy S II also crossed the desk at the FCC sporting AT&T 3G bands. This dual core beast of a phone with a 4.27″ SuperAMOLED plus screen , 8 megapixel camera with 1080p full HD video recording, is only 3G. It’s still a beast of a phone though, and as we already know, AT&T hasn’t fully deployed their 4G network.

Samsung made it clear when they released the original Galaxy S line, that all of the US carriers would get one, they haven’ t announced anything about carriers this year. We are hoping they release it across the four major carriers,  but for now we know it’s heading to AT&T, as for when, that’s anyone’s guess.
