How do you ensure that your games are going to look, feel and function well on a new device? Get it in at the processor level. Last month while Thedroidguy was at MWC we brought you the story about Qualcomm teaming up with Netflix to insure that Netflix would get the most out of their next generation processors, well now Qualcomm is teaming up with Gameloft for the same reason.
This is actually not the first time that Qualcomm has teamed up with Gameloft. The pair worked together when Gameloft used Qualcomm’s Adreno GPU for “Assasin’s Creed: Altair’s Chronicles” and other similar titles. Now Gameloft is working with Qualcomm to make sure games like “Real Football 2011HD” and “SpiderMan Total Mayhem HD” are optimized to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors.
“We are pleased to be working closely with Gameloft to pre-optimize their impressive portfolio of mobile games for Snapdragon processors,” Raj Talluri, VP of product management for Qualcomm, said in a prepared statement.
Qualcomm is working on dual core Snapdragon processors that will bring faster speed and graphics rendering to Android devices.
