LTE To Reach 4 Percent Of US Handset Sales This Year

LTE Technology, according to research by Strategy Analytics, is to account for 4 percent of mobile handset sells in the United States during the 2011 year. Major companies emerging in the LTE market this year will include Samsung, Android, and Verizon Wireless.

Director at Strategy Analytics, Tom Kang said “We forecast LTE technology to account for 4 percent of mobile handset sales in the United States during 2011, rising from near-zero in 2010. LTE is fast becoming a high-growth, high-value 4G market for handset vendors, component manufacturers and operators.” Another Director at Strategy Analytics, Neil Mawston, added, “The United States is already the world’s most important market for LTE handsets and services. Key players driving US LTE growth this year will include Samsung, HTC, LG, Android, Verizon Wireless and AT&T. Emerging players that could shake up the LTE market over the next year include Apple, Amazon or even Nintendo.”

LTE Technology will be making a big leap this year with more companies and higher sells. I am sure all of us look forward to the higher speeds throughout this companies along with the devices that will be accompanying them.
