Angry Birds Headed To Facebook And The Pigs Are Pissed

I’m not exactly sure how I feel about playing Angry Birds with a mouse or trackpad rather than a touch screen but we shall see.

Peter Vesterbacka of Rovio Mobile has officially said that Angry Birds is coming to Facebook in May. Mikael Hed, CEO of Rovio told Wired magazine that the  “The pigs will have a more prominent role” Hed also said we would see features of Angry Birds on Facebook that we’ve never seen before.

Angry Birds Bad Piggy Bank in game purchase system will make its way to Facebook to allow the in-game purchase of power ups, extra levels and more.  The plan is obviously to make Angry Birds more social.

After Facebook Hed also alluded to console game versions of Angry Birds.

Prior to the breakthrough hit Angry Birds, Rovio Mobile made more than 50 other mobile games that didn’t catch on like this.  Angry Birds already has plush toys, slingshots and a board game licensed by Mattel.  We’re just wondering when there’s going to be too much Angry Birds.
