XDA Developer Gets CM7 Running On Galaxy Tab Enabling Voice Calls- Eary Build

Note: If you don’t know how to mod your device or aren’t familiar with Roms proceed at your own risk no one is responsible for your device except you. Also read the standard TDG XDA disclaimer at the bottom:

XDA Developer Technomancer has ported CM 7 to his GSM Samsung Galaxy Tab. He has also uploaded his early build to the XDA forums and as we just did above he strongly suggests proceeding at your own risk. Also at this time this will not work with CDMA tabs.

This port of CM7 to the Galaxy Tab works with known bugs which the developer is working on. The main functions of the Galaxy Tab are working with this build including voice calls. The XDA post reports:
Voice Calls OK
3G Data OK
Bluetooth seems ok but won’t pair with the developers keyboard
Camera not working (as expected)
Sensors work but auto brightness is screwed
GPS works

You can read the complete XDA thread here but don’t ask for timelines (ever)

Based on what we’ve seen and read this is a lot further along than the honeycomb build that d_blue is working on for the Nook Color but both are great strides.
