Sony Xperia Pro Unveiled At #mwc11

The Sony Xperia Play was one of the most anticipated phones to launch at Mobile World Congress. That wasn’t all Sony Ericsson had up their sleeves. One of those other phones is the Sony Xperia Pro.

The Sony Xperia pro resembles the new neo and to a bit, the Xperia X10. While the X10 was concentrated toward media, Sony Ericsson hopes that the Xperia pro is exactly what the business user wants in a phone.

The Xperia Pro along with several other devices we’ve seen or are going to see at MWC is running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Everyone was wondering when Gingerbread was coming and we’ve already seen it today in the Sony Xperia Play, The Samsung Galaxy S2 and this device the Sony Xperia Pro.

It also features a 1ghz Qualcomm Snap Dragon processor. It has a 3.7″ screen at 854×480 resolution which features Sony’s Mobile Bravia engine which highly accelerates pixel rendering.

It also features the slide out qwerty keyboard (pictured) which is why Sony expects it to be a hit with business people.

They are expecting this phone to release in time for summer 2011 and we hear that it will be available in the US.
