Dennis Crowley Co-Founder of Foursquare spoke earlier this morning at the App Planet panel at MWC. In this mornings talk he spoke about localization and getting beyond localization and how fourquare grew from a cool app with a few cities to a global app in just a years time.
He of course started his talk by showing the effectiveness of foursquare and asking how many people in the room full of a few hundred checked into foursquare and of course just about everyone raised their hand.
The big news for Foursquare today is that Foursquare is now available in five more languages. Now you can choose between French, Italian, German, Spanish and Japanese.
Foursquare now makes it easy to check in in your native language. All you have to do to take advantage of this is update Foursquare on your Android phone and Foursquare will set itself to the default language of your phone.
