Barnes & Noble’s Nook Color Wins Last Gadget Standing “People’s Choice Award” at #CES

The Barnes and Noble Nook Color won the coveted People’s Choice Award at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas yesterday.

The Nook color won by a “landslide” out of the 200 hot new gadgets nominated in this yers “Last Gadget Standing” competition.  Renowned technology expert Robin Raskin and the Technologizer’s Harry McCracken hosted the awards show on Saturday at CES.

The Nook Color is the second generation Nook e-reader device exclusively by Barnes and Noble and built on the Android operating system.  The Android hack and modder community has embraced the Nook Color and of course rooted the device.  Once rooted and modded the Barnes and Noble Nook Color becomes one of the best full color Android tablet.

The “Last Gadget Standing” honor is just one of many awards the Barnes and Noble Nook Color has won this year. The Nook Color also was honored last year (2010) as one of Time Magazine’s “Top 10 Gadgets of 2010” and one of Huffington Post’s “Top 10 Gadgets of the Decade”.
