Metro PCS Adds LTE to New York, Boston and Sacremento! <-- Remember They Were First

Metro PCS, the first company that introduced an LTE network in the United States, has added New York City, Boston and Sacremento to it’s LTE footprint.

Metro PCS’s 4G LTE network is accessible via the Samsung Craft the first LTE handset commercially available in the United States. The Samsung Craft is a fully featured feature phone with access to email, text messaging, clear voice calls and MetroStudio,¬† on the LTE network. LTE pricing for Metro PCS starts at $55 per month without requiring a contract.

“As the only no annual contract, pay-in-advance wireless service provider offering 4G LTE services, we continue to build our network to allow more customers to experience our unparalleled value and flexible, affordable service,” said Robert Lindquist, Metro PCS’s CEO

Metro PCS is expected to release smartphones and more feature phones as part of their LTE network in the first part of 2011.

With this addition Metro PCS now offers LTE 4G services in New York City, Boston, Sacremento, Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Philadelphia and San Francisco.
