HTC EVO 4G and Sony Internet TV (Google TV) Blu Ray Player win CES Best of Innovations 2011

The winners of this years CES Best of Innovations were revealed in a press conference as part of CES Unveiled in New York on Tuesday.

The HTC EVO 4G on Sprint picked up the win for the wireless handsets category. The HTC Evo 4G, released in June of 2010, was the first handset to take advantage of Sprint’s Wi-Max network, called “4G”. This high end Android phone saw a larger screen, dual cameras, and faster processor, in addition to the ability to utilize the faster network. The Evo 4G was pitted against the Samsung Galaxy S line in the CTIA Hot for the Holiday awards in October and lost.

The Sony Internet TV Blu Ray Player, with Google TV won the online audio/video content award. We saw this device revealed in October 2010 and is one of the three introduction devices for Google TV.
